The new date for the AGM of the APPG Taxation will be taking place between 11.30 - 12.30 on Tuesday 17th July.
Set up in 2006, and chaired by Ian Liddell-Grainger MP, the Group has made a strong contribution to the development of taxation policy in the UK. It has produced a series of papers and reports on proposals to reform tax administration and has hosted a number of private and public events on a wide range of taxation issues.
Working in partnership with HM Treasury, the Group aims to create a “safe space” for Parliamentarians and interested stakeholders to meet, discuss and develop innovative proposals to reform and make the UK’s taxation system fairer.
During the next 12 months the Group will be holding regular meetings when Parliament is sitting; and it plans to examine key issues including the implications of EU Brexit on the UK’s taxation system; promoting tax simplification; and the future of taxation. Indeed, the Group’s next meeting on 17th July at 11.30 will discuss the future programme of work / meetings for 2018 / 19.
